These power steering units will not work with hydro boost systems used on some of the later model GM vehicles.

 See our other listings for the crome steel bracket #3838C. The chrome steel bracket is what we now use on all of our engines. It is superior in design to all others we have seen on the market. Below are a few pics of it mounted on the unit. All of our turn key engines use this power steering pump and failures are virtually non-existent.

This auction is for a brand new Chevy GM CHROME power steering pump. This pump will fit most cars from 1966 to 1976 that used the GM saginaw style pump with a bolt on pulley. You can use this on many other years if you have the correct brackets that apply to this style pump. This was actually the most common pump style used on GM vehicles. It has the 5/8″ keyed shaft for the pulley. As you can see in the picture above the mounting holes are in the same place as the oem pump. Also notice the line configuration at the back. The nut to hold the pulley on the shaft, but does not include the pulley.The quality of the pump is very good. 

This unit will accept a steel or aluminum pulley.

Shaft size is 5/8″
