Important Note:

This crankshaft must be balanced with your pistons and rods before use. All crankshafts on the market are this way.

For use in 1990 & older big block Chevy engines with the 2 piece style rear main seal. King rod and main bearings are included. This crank requires the use of an EXTERNAL damper and flexplate or flywheel.

Crank weight is approximately 70 lbs.

Counterweights are profiled for 6.135" or longer connecting rods.

4.00 Stroke Crankshaft - 454 engines.

6.135" Rods are to be used.

Must be balanced prior to assembly

Our machinist that does the balancing made special note of how much harder these cranks were compared to any of the other cast nodular cranks on the market. This crank is for use with 2pc. rear main seal blocks. We also have the 1pc. version of this crank kit in our other listings.

We offer this crankshaft with selected upgrades. Listed below is one upgrade we consider very beneficial and is requested by many.

Crank polishing: Extends bearing life, reduces oil temp, frees up a slight amount of average horsepower. This is a very low cost upgrade, and in the world of mass production, most cranks do not come with a true polished finish. This is why most machine shops have a machine to do this. The difference is dramatic between a crank right out of the box and one that we have polished. Bearing companies claim that cranks that have better finishes on the journals will survive the break-in better, and have much longer bearing life. We do a two-step process and bring the RA numbers down in the single digit range. We have the most advanced crank polishing machine on the market. We polish the crank for every engine we build.
