Extreme Precision for High-Performance Builds
The DRX-750 is equipped with a highly sensitive touch probe system that measures the deck surface of the block with extreme accuracy. We’re talking within a thousandth of an inch. This kind of precision is crucial when you’re building engines designed to handle high stress, such as those destined for drag racing, NASCAR, or high-horsepower street applications.

We often find many brand new blocks to have a sloping deck of up to 4 thous. When we're finished decking the block, it is within approx. .001 accuracy from end to end. Many machine shops fail to catch this as the machinery they use does not allow for such accuracy.
Eliminating Imperfections
Even brand-new blocks can come with a slight slope or unevenness in the deck surface—imperfections that might go unnoticed with less sophisticated machinery. The DRX-750 doesn’t just detect these issues; it corrects them. By the time we’re finished, the block’s deck is perfectly flat from end to end, providing a flawless surface for cylinder heads to seal against.
